Default Tranny Rebuild

OK,
My car has a few more months before Warranty ends. Lately, when shifting my '04GT when cold (under 20 degrees) I've been getting a grind going into second, like the synchro's aren't slowing the gear down properly. Once the car warms, it shifts like butter. I talked to my dealer and he checked on my car, he told me Ford has a "repair" kit for the trans (their cost $800.) and it can be installed under warranty. Anyone hear about this or have it done?Anyrate, it's being installed, what have I got to lose?

John

yea take advantage of them. I heard about them its a TSB on it. Its an upgraded synchros for your POS 3650 that makes it shift less like a POS. But the trans will always shift a lil funky when its cold untill you get your fluids up. I noticed that switching to royal purple tranny oil helped me out a lot tho
