Default T-Trim on a 98 cobra

Alright guys... Im going to elaberate here because i dont want anyone to be confused because i talk confusing!! haha, but I bought a Vortech T-Trim for my 98 Cobra and my future plans are to hit bout 500-550. I had a brand new motor put in my cobra last year... just the stock 4.6. I was wandering if it I can keep my shortblock and and just put everything forged in it... and if i do that with about 4000 miles on it would i have to hone it to clean up the cylinder walls? Or would it be worth it to just buy a shortblock, if i go this route i was looking at the MMR Street Mod 900 with some nice heads. Any input will be VERY helpful.[/align]

well if its the original engine, then you have a VERY potent block that can hold some high hp (within the range your looking). Forging that out and making sure it has all the little goodies you shouldnt need to speed the extra. Anything you want to do to the block to prep it (blueprinting, replacing cylinder walls, the whole 9 yards if you want) would be beneficial, i would recommend cross-hatchin or boring it out slightly to refresh the walls atleast

If the engine is in good condition and you decide to go with another block or the MMR shortblock then ill be happy to buy the engine block from you

Well i'll definatly keep you in mind. So with 4000 miles on the new motor, u think it will be beneficial to hone it some more? would i be fine with throwing them in with the fresh motor that i got, and if i do that are there ANY weak links in this block that i should worry about or anything in general on the block that i should worry about when pushing that horsepower.
