Default M U S T A N G bumper inserts

So its supposed to be warm tomarrow so i decided to do my inserts finally. I got the expensive hard ones. My question is, what do you use to clean your bumper with? Just some water? Let me know what you guys did.... It may sound dumb me asking about this buy my girl paid like $50 for them so i dont want to mess them up.

Just clean it real good with soap and water.... wouldnt hurt to use simple green or something to make sure all the wax is removed!

I used a paint safe body prep solution I forget what it is called before I put them on and then let them sit in the sun for a little. soap and water should be fine just dry it really well and take your time.

So its supposed to be warm tomarrow
if its just gonna be warm tomorrow.. dont do it...

the directions with mine recommended 60+ degree weather and no water for 3 days.....

so if its just gonna warm up a bit tomorrow, then get cold again, it might not achieve its best bond strength.. the directions on mine claimed that 100% strength was after about 72 hours.. 60% or so after 1

the N was a b*tch lol...(not saying that racially...it just sounded funny *)...you should use a spray bottle of water...a couple drops of dishsoap...and a splash of rubbing alcohol...clean it with this solution first...then wipe all the crap away...then spray the whole area of the letters on the bumper...and spray the back of each letter insert...then you can still move them around if you screw up the first time...after you get them positioned use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out all the water underneath

I believe he is saying he has the aluminum ones... as opposed to vinal stickers... in which case he would NOT want to the above!
