Loud Metallic squeak from front left wheel area
Hey guys, I am hearing a loud metallic squeak coming from the front left wheel of my Stang. Could it be my struts or maybe some other suspension component. I mainly hear it when I turn the steering right and left, sitting still. I can also hear it while driving when turning the wheel.
Details of car: 97 GT with original struts/shocks. Replc springs with Ford Racing C springs. Front dropped about 1.5" rear about 1" - 18" Chrome Saleens - 265/35 front 285/35 rear... Just started about a month ago and is very annoying and embarrassing...
Any Ideas???

I had the same problem but it was the racknpinion, but if you think is the struts (I did this on mine to find a busted shock) grab a corner of the car and rock it up n down if its a strut or shock you will hear it.

OUTTER tie rod ends is most likely the squeek. Jack your car up and shake the wheel at 3:00 and 9:00. If it moves back and forth in that direction, replace your outter tie rod ends. You'll have to get an alignment with that.

i have a 99 GT, and i had the exact same problem down to a fine T. i thought it was struts, etc. turned out i just had a bad ball-joint. replaced it and the metal sounding squeel became extinct. try it out. a lot cheaper than struts and tie-rod ends
