How did the gecko get into that gauge like that?

If you are going to go the route of unscrewing things from the instrument panel it won't do any harm disconnecting the battery, in a hanes mustang manual it warns of a possibility of setting off the airbag, I am sure that is over caution but better safe than getting head butted with a huge white balloon

I've been starring at a little piece of dirt/lint/whatever that's behind the glass of my gauge panel ever since I got the car & have wondered how much BS would be involved in getting it out

LOL.. he's been there since the summer. Maybe if i get white face gauges i'll take him out. Otherwise he's a good luck charm. Besides its fun to trip out Valet people and mechanics. I always tell them to watch out for the lizard on my dash.

JDAVIS - Here is a walk through for changing the gauges. It should have the steps you need to follow if you want to take it apart.
