Default UPR X-Pipe....

Hey whats up everyone? I been getting advice from Brandon98gt about my xpipe, i got an 03 GT, and got an off road udp xpipe, the guy that i bought it from was gonna install it but said that there is 1 bolt, by the tranny he can not get too, so he didnt put it on, anyone else have this trouble with a 5speed? and my next question, he told me i needed different o2 sensors that were just a hair longer, brandon says he used his factory ones, anyone else need different sensors? brandon has a 2000 i think, im not sure if the 00 and 03 are different thats why im asking, any help at all would be awesome.

I also got the hypertech power programmer III and if im not mistaken you can disconnect the rear o2 sensors, so would i have to even install them? or is that a negative?

You mean an UPR x pipe? Ive never heard of UDP. If its a upr theres a section that gets bolted on near the "x" in the pipe on the driver sidewhich is close to the tranny. I cant see why it would be a problem though.

The real pita is always the passenger side manifold nuts. Get a deep 15mm socket, a swivel joint and about 18" worth of extensions with a **** load of PB Blaster (applied about 1/2hr before) and crank away to get those nuts off.

Your stock o2 sensors will work fine, and all four need to be installed. Extensions are only needed for 04 vehicles.

along with the extensions and the swivel / u-joint thing, you might want a breaker bar if you don't have an impact wrench. it's a bitch the first time cause you have to figure out how to get to the nuts on your back (it'd be hard as hell to scratch your nuts if they were on your back, now wouldn't it? ), but if you ever have to do it again it'll be easy as pie cause you'll know all the angles of attack that work. just take your time, it can be done, but you may have to cuss a lot.
