Default What to do to make 350-400 hp on N/A 2v npi

After fixing the nose on my mustang I want to concentrate on the engine, now my question is what can I do to make my 97 GT Auto reach 350-400 naturally? Im getting about $3500.00 back from our lovely gov. add a thousand or two from my savings, and Im gonna dump it all in the car.IfI need more than 5G's to do it I think i'll hold off on it tillI save for the whole thing. Or do you guys think I should just drop a Big block in there ( been thinking about that for a while now) Oh and just a reminder this is my DD. I dont want to go with a blower or spray. Any help will be apreciated.

you can't do it.. PI swap/pi motor, and get the blower.. Probably cheaper than the 5K if you shop around and do most of the labor.

Won't happen. If anything, you might as well buy 347 Stroker and do a H/C/I setup. Going to cost way more than 5k though.

So is droping a big block in there a better option? Also on a sale 1-10, ten being the most difficult, what do guys think swaping for a big block would be? M-6007-F460RT7.5L/460 "SUPER COBRA JET" - 550HP FORD RACING PERFORMANCE CRATE ENGINE ASSEMBLY. Im pretty shure their are other thingsI need but I've been dreaming of this for a while

10 There sill be alot of fabrercation that will need to be done like k member and firewall. You will never reach those numbers with NPI heads. I have spent almost $8000 on my motor trying to build a NA 400rwhp mustang and so far only a 386. Few more things to add and I should be over 400 but it costs alot.

Pray....a lot cause you're gonna need one hell of a miracle.

Seriously, on a non pi engine, those numbers n/a are impossible. The engine simply will not flow well enough to support those numbers. Even on a pi engine 350 is almost out of reach. Theres only one person i know of around here thats pushing 350 n/a on a pi engine and hes spent loads of money to get there.

I would suggest getting a pi swap and thinking about a supercharger. You can get a mongoose kit for around $3500. That will get you in the hp range youre looking for. If youre worried about a blower effecting your drivability dont. As long as its tuned right it will act just as pleasant on the road as it does now.

Yeah exactly, you're going to need an act of god to get that much power out of the NPI heads in N/A form. Hell, they barely make 400 RWHP under 12 psi. Just add nitrous.

It'll take 10k and you still might not hit 400RWHP N/A.

As for dropping in a 460, you can't drop one in any Mustang no problem. It's not as simple as you think.
