See...If people knew everything about a topic, they could make the easy choice. Thats why these forums are here...but just because I say shortys suck doesnt mean that joe shmo bought them and got a hugh jump in high end power. Im personally getting my whole exhaust custom made for my car and how I drive it. Starting with custom long true equal tube headers, Hookers formed collector w/ 3" diameter, Jegs 3" pipes in 4' sections (will I need more then one section?...probably not), Magnaflow High Performance/High Flow 3" In/Out cats, Jegs 3" H-Pipe kit,Flowmaster Super 40's, Roush side exit tips (yes I'll have the Roush side skirts)...all on the car you see blow. Once I get $22,000, Ill be doing a RHD conversion. Why? because I want to! If you say thats stupid...ok shut up and let me be stupid because its what I want, not what you want!
Unless you are supercharged and putting out over 500rwhpyou are going to kick yourself in the *** for getting that exhaust setup. You think you have backpressure now? You will have alot more with that setup. With a 3" exhaust on a NA or underpowered car the exhaust gasses will lose their vilocity due to cooling down to fast and start to cause backpressure. Your best goal is to have no backpressure in a high vilocity exhaust system. The less backpressure you have the easier it is for the engine to push the gases out of the chamber causing more hp. The reason people say they lose torque when installing a higher flowing exhaust is because they are uneducated on how an engine works. You do not lose torque or power it gets moved up the powerband due to the engine having less strain on it.

I do plan on putting a KB s/c on my car and a few other things. The shape of the oval helps out a little, can you tell me the dimensions?

Just to let everyone know, my brother installed a 75mm TB/Plenum and the problem is solved. The power in the lower rpm's is back and stronger than ever.
