Default Better Tire...?

Which of these do you think would be the best performance tire for a DD...
I want something sticky with a long, good treadlife
Mostly daily driven on the street, will see about 1 or 2 track runs a year at most

Rims are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5
#1 is 245/40 front and 275/40 rear -- rated #1 on Tirerack
#2 is 245/40 front and 285/40 rear -- rated #3 on Tirerack
#3 is 245/40 front and 275/40 rear -- rated #6 on Tirerack

a nice nitto drag radial will do go for you on the street. they get good treadwear and they will be manageable in the rain. But to answer your question about the tires you chose. I pick BFGs just cuz i like the brand

yeah I've actually been leaning towards the BFGs but thought the UHP or Kumhos might be just as good for a cheaper price...guess not [&o]

the generals suck they have a soft sidewall and wont grip for sh|T...the humhos are made for more of a road course, not drag racing. the bfg's have a super hard sidewall and the tread blocks are closer together, giving a longer life, smoother ride and better grip, plus the BFGs are made by michelin. they will be the superior tire by far

Hey Bill, I think youve got it backwards. If BFG's have a "super hard sidewall" they would suck major *** at the drag strip. If the generals had soft side wall, they would grip GREAT.

SOFT sidewall-Drag racing
HARD sidewall- road racing/handleing

I picked the kumho's just because I think theyd be the best for street use. Not only that, when I worked as a tire buster, Kumho were the truest tire(perfectly round) you could buy. Michelins, Continentals, not even pirellis were truer than the Kumho's. I put some on my wifes saturn, and at 17k the havent even worn 1/32, of course I rotate them every 3k.
