If it was white/greyish smoke it's water/coolant.

Oil will burn blue.

+1. This happened to me, my tranny where it connects to my short throw base was spewing out fluid right onto my H pipe and when I'd accelerate hard, smoke would pour in from floorboard inside the cab. Turns out my Tri-Ax base gasket had worked itself out and there was a gap between the tranny and shifter base.

Obviously I know you have an auto, but it sounds like it could be transmission fluid or some other kind of liquid getting slung around onto your exhaust when you accelerate hard.

does your exhaust sound fine? Could be a pretty bad exhaust leak. But it sounds like something is burning on your exhaust to me if its coming from the floor board
