I had my gears done at Mid Coast. I highly recommend this place. They are very knowledgable and professional. Anyone can verify that. Their prices are reasonable too. I think they have a special going on for gear installs. Not sure though. Give them a call.

Does anyone know of a good place in CT to get gears done? Janetti Racing in Waterbury quoted about $800. Yeah right...

I live in CT and I am bringing mine to Mongillo Motors in two weeks, they quoted me 300 for the install. Ask for Bill he's a good guy. You can check out there shop online it pretty sweet, dyno and all. The shop is in New Haven.

Here's a few in NJ. I'm not sure of "Outrageous Mustangs " prices, but "Radical Racing" wants an even $1,000 for everything, which includes gears, oil, bearing kit, and a chip.

In the ST. Louis area - look up Evans motorsports out near high ridge missouri. And for God's sake, use the Ford racing gears. I had Evan's do my Ford racing 4.10's two years ago and I am sorry pleased. I don't recall the price but they were fair.

You will also need to correct your speedometer after changing the gears. This can be done with the SCT XCAL2 handheld tuner or by buying a SpeedCal (part number SGRB $89.95).

So $90 is the cheapest that you can correct for gears? The reason that I ask is that I have thought about selling my GT without the Predator (sell the Diablo seperately) but the Predator is married to my GT due to the gears. A SpeedCal would fix that.
