Default midpipe and sound

How does an aftermarket H pipe affect the sound of the exhaust? I know its deeper than an X blah blah blah, but I mean HOW. It is the same shape as the stock H pipe correct? Is it just because of the slightly larger size that makes it different?

I'm just wondering because I'm considering an MRT H pipe. Will it enhance the sound on top of my MAC catback? Like louder or better? Or will it just be the same? Also will my adding a MRT H to my mac catback make my interior resonance louder or not affect it?

Thanks, I know......a lot of questions.

Pretty sure its the diamater of the new pipe. Also, stock catted H to two high flow cats, or no cats at all, will drastically change the sound. When I installed my exhaust,I took off my stock catback and listened to the open stock midipipe. I did the same after I installed my new midipipe and I could immediately tell the difference in sound.

go catted x or o/r x pipe with a straight through muffler catback because it sounds awesome.

thanks, any input on the interior resonance issue? Will it make it worse on top of my mac catback?
