O.K. I got this a$$hole coworker with a new 06GT Auto. It looks nice. It came with a hood scoop, roush wing, side window scoops, the fog lights in the center of the grill, and 20inch Foose wheels, otherwise it is stock. I think he said it was around $7K over stock. And he was talking all kinda crap about he's got the fastest thing in the lot. Now we got my GT, a 97 cobra pretty stock, a few hemi cars, and a ls1 vette stock and auto. Now the dude with the cobra is old so he's not gonna race, the hemi's won't stand a chance with their 22's, 24's, and major sound systems, and the guy with the LS1 know he can take him but he's a track only racer. So when the track opens in March, us three(ME, ls1, & 06gt) are gonna go. Now I already know that the ls1 will pull the best time. It just pisses me off when jacka$$es like this think they are the king of the hill when they get something new and this is a guy who went from a 04 GT to this. When we were talking I asked him how he know what I've done to Flicka(my car)? And he says it don't matter he will take me. So, I just said yeah your right. Now, I know he won't mod his car because he didn't touch his GT because he's afraid of warranty issues. And everyone has seen his car because he was showing-off on the day he got it. So I know it's all stock.
Sorry for the long post but I wanna know if I could take him with my 4.30's, DR's, o/r X pipe and tuner.
I thought he would run worse than stock because of the 20's. What do you guys think??

The 20's aren't as heavy as you I think.....@ 5lb'sa rim.....Some people that never have owned a truly fast car won't realize that a stock body queen s197 stang is aiiight, but not fast

make fun of him because he has an auto(I have an auto too...but my next stang is 5spd)...Make fun of him because he might not know how to drive manual....make him feel like **** ..lol

I doubt it. He could probably flatten his front tires and still mop the floor with ya if he can even remotely drive.

well with my mods i have takin many 05/06 gts off the line (at red lights) and on the freeway all the owners incorraged the race so it wasnt just me against myself so i think so if you can drive

I dont see it being close at all. A Non PI GT with 4.30's and exhaust MIGHT run a 14 flat on DR's with an excellent launch... i just dont think he'll have issues.

He wil win from a roll....its an auto.....so go roll race him in like 40 mph...just tell him to keep it in D and keep o/d on

The New Edge GT wont win from a roll. He might trap in the 101 range as he is,, the '06 or whatever it was should be trapping AT LEAST that stock even in an auto.
