Default Rebuilding bottom end

K guys, a few of you on here know I have a KB setup on my Cobra. Well, now I am ready to step up to even more hp. I am at 400 rwhp right now but want to be at 500-550 on forced induction and 650 with NO2. I would like some input on what parts I should use. I know I need to go with forged rods and pistons, but what about the crank? I know it is forged, but is it good for the performance I am looking for. Any recommandations on kits? Also, the heads, I have the 4V's, what do you suggest. Thanks for any input.

By the way, I know I can order the whole engine from MMR, but I wanted to be more involved.

What no feed back. I guess I should have asked a real question like what kind of tune to get with a CAI.

LOL.... No your heads are good - just get em worked - and the forged pistons are good but not entirely necessary - Im going to do them to when i forge, if that means anything. Im hoping to do a 500 rwhp blower and 150-200 shot on top of that... but now were gettin into new trannys

So your saying stock pistons are safe at 500-550 rwhp, up to 650 on spray?

New trannys? on 700rwhp? LOL you are talking about a new EVERYTHING.

96 cobra, it would probably be easiest to buy a forged bottom end kit(balanced or unbalanced) get your block bored out a bit(to clean it up). Get the heads ported and polished, etc. You will have to swap to an cobra fuel tank and pumps(or GT stuff). You will need a TKO or T56 tranny, crazy clutch, built rear, etc.......................... I'm sure you know all this tho.

Are you sure you have a forged crank? I didnt know that.

Tranny swap is a must. The crank is forged, but I made swap that out also. I wanted to keep the block because its the teksid one. I have seen where the bore out blocks to 5.0, is that what I have to do also?
