I bought this chip (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00...88142665QQrdZ1
lastweek for my 99 GT and it really actually works. Im now red lining at 38 mph in first gear and 62 in 2nd gear. It comes with 2 plastic/metal connectors that hook into your IAT sensor on the airbox. It's definitly worth the $40.00 I spent.

*The only other pre-mods that Ive done is a cai and https://mustangforums.com/m_1297650/tm.htm

whoops, I see you have a 98. There's chips for your year on ebay as well.

If you aren't mechanically inclined stay away from the timing adjusters! Your better off getting a custom tune that changes the timing electronically. The timing is crucial in these engines. As far as the UDP's. I dislike them because they take away from your A/C and alternator charging capabilities. Your 130amp alt. gets reduced roughly 23%. Most UDP's don't allow the alt. to charge a battery properly if left at idle for more than 20min. I have a stellar sound system and absloutely need my A/C! Besides you don't even feel the power increase. It's something like 6-10hp at the crank which gets relayed to the rear whells at 2-3hp!.LOL

Also Nitrous isn't that bad even on a high mileage car. It's merely a cool dense charge of clean crisp air! It doesn't affect your engine like everyone thinks it does. It doesn't raise compression like a S/C! I don't care who tells you otherwise they have no idea what they are talking about. You can have 18:1 comp. and run a 300 shot of nitrous without blowing any gaskets! You can safely do a 75 shot! I would do the wet system. A little longer to put in, but it pre mixes fuel for guaranteed safety and power! Used on ebay for around $250 for dry or $350 for wet
