Default help selling car

i have a 97 GT that i wanna sell, but its in such poor condition right now i was wondering if i should just part the carout and wanted to get some opinions on the matter.
the car has:
new 99 engine with 5000 miles
headers, x-pipe, and a borla cat back for the exhaust
short shifter
front suspension consists of:
hotchkis coil overs
tubular control arms
camber plates
rear suspension:
tokiko shocks
eibach lowering springs.
18x9 roush wheels
cobra body kit
a really ugly wing and tail lights.

now for the problems:
needs a new tranny as there is no first gear
right rear wheel was bent in an accident and needs to be replaced
needs o2 sensors and spark plug wires
the car has the 97 computer still and could use a tune
needs a new alternator.(cars been sitting in my drive way for a week cause im so fed up with fixing the car)
the body has a few dings and could probably use a new paint job.

would anyone buy a car in this condition or do i have a better chance of making up my losses by parting the car out? any help is greatly appreciated

Trying to sell used performance parts is more of a PITA than it's worth.I would just sell the car "as is" and get rid of it.If you have room to store the car while you sell parts off it you might do OK though.Remember, once you sell the first part off the car that renders it undriveable, you're stuck.

I think getting 4k for it would be a good deal for you.

the engine is great, it has just under 5k miles on it. it just needs a new alternator andit could use some spark plug wires, but i guess im just gonna getthat stuff fixed myself and try to sell the whole car.

umm... dude, the 99 (PI 2V) didn't HAVE plug wires... it was Coil-On-Plug... they changed that in '98. So, is it a '97 motor bought in '99? Or what?

ok... the 96-98's had coil packs (4 coils in a resin block) and your standard spark plug wires from the coil-packs to the plug... the 99+ have the ignition coils ON the plug (little cylinder dealies with a long rubber boot), so they have 2 small relay wires going into the coil. NO PLUG-TYPE WIRES.
