Default Tune question?!

so im putting in a new motor in my 98 gt, its a 99 gt motor, w/ forged internals, L/T's, comp 270 cams/springs, exhaust, intake. I know i need a tune (obviously) my question is do i have to get a handheld tuner and a custom dune by a shop, or can i do a mail-order tune? (i think they're called). I'm trying to watch how much i spend and i dont know if its possible to tell a company what my mods are and have them send me a pre-tuned chip or something. Does anyone know of this or how it can be done? Also if i get just the handheld tuner can i have someone tuneit sufficiently without a dyno or do i need a shop with the computer and dyno and stuff do it? any help would be great thanks. go to a FORD tunner with a chssis dyno, call first to verify there software comp. then buy an sct or pred.*uck the loaded tune.A real tuner such as dyno dan in vegas is the only way to get what you want!!!! oh ya imo
