Default DIABLO TUNER?

Hey guys, I just bought the Predator tuner and I was wondering if you guys had any tips on maximizing the power increase with this thing. I installed the performance tune and I did notice that once it got past around 3000 rpm it did seem to climb a little quicker but I want to get the most out of the tuner as possible. Please give me your suggestions...

you can move the timing up a couple of points and drop the fuel 3% or so this will lean out the computer a bit and create a few more ponies and if you notice a descent difference keep going in small incerments ---- the programing in it usually has a safety that doesnt allow it to lean out and cause detonation or pinging but do listen for it under heavy load ----hope this helps.

Your going to really use that thing when you start doing some serious mods to the engine, thats when the difference will show, with and without the tuner.

Or maybe im just totally wrong. I read a lot of good stuff about those tuners though, sounds like its worth the money, wish i could get one for my 5.0....

yes and no ive seen the thing on the dyno and it really isnt very effective sometimes and other times its great --- i think it has to do with the guy that programmed it --lol--
but yeah any mods are going to "ultimately" help in progress unless you get a custom tune for your specific application.

Who did you buy it from? Most people consider the tune that comes with it crappy. I know of a few reputable tuners that sell it with their own custom tunes that are dyno proven.

They then will send you a new tune for free when you make changes.

I bought it from a guy on the forums here, blue04gt. Can you give me the name of someplace where I might be able to get a custom tune. Maybe they can e-mail it to me.
