Default HID Kit

I am a n00b when its comes to lighting. I have used silverstar/ultras and I like them, but I travel at night mostly and would like a bit more light. I recently drove my fiances 07 Corolla and realized that car puts out more light than my 01 Mustang

After reading for at least 30 min on different HID kits/pnp units I have decided on the following kit.

http://www.stangmods.com/Projector-H...04-p/00345.htm

I was going to get the dual halos, but I didn't see the need for it.

The bad thing is that I just bought new housing for my mustang I was hoping to reuse, but like everyone said - it would be too bad for incoming drivers/too much glare.

What does everyone think? Did I make the right choice?

After much consideration I actually went with the duals instead:

http://www.stangmods.com/Dual-Halo-P.../00345-001.htm

According to Matt, its a sharper, cripser image than the more expensive headlamps.

Will post pics once I get them!

HOLY SMOKES! That is ALOT of money to pay for some headlights! You can get complete HID kits on eBay for $100.00! They might not be as good but for over $300.00 difference how much better can they be??

I love my kit I just installed from stang mods. Just order the right bulb for your housing. I have a kit also for my foglights but im waiting till I get my cobra-r front bumper painted. I have the 10k kit.
The stang Mods kit is great. Its almost a direct plug and play. Great quality

yeah you made a good decision, ebay isn't always the best place to order from. especially with lights

As you saw by my post - I have the the combo (kit and housing) to reduce glare and to make a nice sharp line I probably will sell my other stock headlamps cause they are virtually new (+/- 3 months) and still have a nice finish on them.

I was going to get the other kit, but the housing is not really made for HIDs and the lines are not as sharp. That is why I chose the dual halo version. After taking a look at it for a long, long time - I think it will look pretty cool. "Maybe a bit ricey" (I completely retract that statement :P ), but hey - we all want better lighting right? Plus black on black will look pretty nice :P

Edit:

This is my original post with the SilverStar Ultras Installed:

https://mustangforums.com/fb.asp?m=2152207

I will compare in around a weeks time when I have the HIDs installed

Cool this is what they should look like with Halos (This was before I installed them with hid kit) http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/710/dscn0063xg6.jpg

I dont think they look ricey at all. They make the car look like a demon.

I agree esp after looking at that pic. I guess we need to give stangmods new pics when we are done :P
