he bought a 98 gt black with a mach 460 system he wants to know what it consist of

Everything I have heard says you cannot use an aftermarket speaker on the amps that come with the 460. It uses a funky resistance speaker setup.

In any case, you should not try to run subs on the stock amps.. they are built for full range speakers (not subs) regardless of the ohm value of the speaker.

You can run another amplifier to power your own subs through the Mach 460 though. It won't sound very good IMO, but it can be done quite easy.

thats what i did, i had a amp/sub/wireing kit left over from my last car so instead of it sitting and collecting dust me and a buddy wired it up. sounds good inside the car, and its enough bass for me.

so it would sound pretty ****ty if i took the stock amps off and just ran them without because i have a 2600 watt sound storm and two twelves i was just gonna down grade if it would so ill stick with the twelves
