Default 3650 rebuild

Well, ive noticed all the stuff on the TSB for the 3650 happens to my car. BUT, I'm out of warranty, so I'm 9(% sure ford wont fix it, that and they "had to test drive" it before and the symptoms dont happen a)when you granny shift and b)when its warm. *sighs*

So I found the ford rebuild kit online $928 for the kit. Is it worth it, or should I keep saving and get a different tranny alltogether (like a t56)?

or can this be covered with extended warranty?

If youre gonna spend about a grand plus labor to rebuild it, save another 600 and get a tko500.

T-56 would be nice, but thats big bucks. I dont know how deep your pockets are.

If you have an Extended Warranty then it should be covered under the TSB, good luck.

Do you have an extended warranty? Because when my tranny blew on my sixer Camaro I just had to pay the 100 deductible and they replaced the tranny with a new one.

+1

No way would I spend nearly a grand on a junk 3650 when you can spend a little more and have a TKO.

on the other hand, its not just 1600-1800 bucks and your done. you will also need a bellhousing, and depending on which trans you buy a new clutch and yoke.
