I have to get the rods and pistons balanced? Or the crank, rods, and pistons balanced? How much does that usually run?

That's not so bad. I just called him and we're going to meet up at 4:45. I'll take some pics and post them up tonight when I get home. Chrysler came out with 3 new auto transmissions for this year and next year. Nowwe have to go to Wake Tech to learn about them. It sucks!!!

that sucks.. hopefully they will be beefier trannies too.... although i havent had problems with my 745rfe yet... (think that is what its called)...

yea, the dish in those pistons look just like the dish in my stock pistons so you may have 9.4 compression with them...

those will give u 10.25 or 10.5 compressions but talk to lizzyfan he is running 8lbs of boost on a pi swap engine with that kind of compression

Speed pro is a decent piston...I've usd them in several motors...teflon skirts,,,,tight clearances....only drawback I've seen is,,their abit on the heavyside compared to other manufactures.(which can help sometimes inbalancing)(removing weight is much easier than adding weight to thecrank)Use to be TRW.....still carry the part numbers though....

Thanks for the good input guys. I got some more good news. I got a set of eight for $250 (I knew the guy and traded him some stuff). I met him local and he had a set that was used only in an engine on a stand. They were fired only a few times. Here's a pic:

... I would have better luck running nitrous?

Same guy I got these pistons from has a Cobra crank out of a '98. It needs to be turned. He's asking $150. What should I offer him for it? He seems to be a stend up guy. Is that price about right?
