I just got a new battery this weekend. I got a duralast gold (red top). It put out more cranking amps than my old battery did(which worked fine, it just got too old). PLUS the duralast came with a 7 year warranty. $74 i think

The duralast gold has a gold top, the red top is just the standard one. That has a 2 year free replacement and a 6 year warrenty. The gold has the 3 year free replacement, roadside jumpstart and a 7 year warrenty. I know the optimas that are sold at autozone have something like a 7 year free replacement.

So sometimes when I start my car it wont crank up and Id have to try again till it starts up...im thinking its the battery...

What do you guys think about the optima batteries?

I have a sound system in my car with 2 10's subs and in-dash dvd and I think its draining out alot of the power from the battery...

Thanks,
I have a red top.... I think its the best battery i've ever had. I was working on something in the car and left an interior light on for 5 days and the car didn't even hesitate when starting it.

For systems, the yellow top may be a good choice for you.. however, its an extra few moneys

the yellow top is for a very demanding audio system the red top gives you a stronger crank start

Yes the RED TOP! I paid $149 from local parts store. I aslo bought a 2.5amp trickle charger/idler for the initial charge before I put it in the car which I reccomend, and I keep it plugged it and hooked up to the battery which stays connected to the car all winter long to keep it fresh !
