i was wondering how hard it would be to go from the 2000 mach 460 cd player to the mach 460 6 disc in dash. . . i know i would need to change out the center console a little. . but do you think the traction control connections would be the same? i want to go

yeah, 2nd one isnt a 460, the 6 disc would be like they have in lexus' or something. if u did it.

i have the 460 and thats not it. its possible but i think its more work than what its worth. why dont you just buy an aftermarket 6 disc changer and be done with it.

It's probably possible, but the 460 HU is too much of a piece of crap to make it worth it. Just go aftermarket if you really want a CD changer.

exactly, its real nice for stock BUT the aftermarket units are way better


i liked the pioneer i had in my last car was 100000x more than my stock mach460 6disk. although its not bad enough for me to spend 200+ on a quality aftermarket deck... just yet

seems to me that you would have to change out the whole center console so that the hole for the 6disk would be the same. Right now you have 2 holes instead of 1. Im sure you could splice wires if you had to for the t/c but prolly not necessary. IMO the best thing to do would be buy a cd player that fits in the stock cd spot now and they make a little cubby hole that you could put where the tape player is. Just a thought...
