RE: Snow driving tips and tricks...
ya, i recommend 200+lbs in the back.
if you cant afford snow tires, SLOW DOWN.
remember, even if you have to take 20minutes to go 1 mile, its worth it if you get there ok.
would you rather get there faster, or crash?
i would recommend putting it away for the winter, but if your like me and cant afford a winter beater, then just be careful.

If you're forced to drive in the winter, go w/ some sandbags in the trunk. They help a good amount, but I would only use those if you're forced to drive. I don't drive at all if there's any snow or ice on the road.

as stated above, and then some
with any vehicle, when approaching an intersection/stop sign, just stop earlier than you usually would. Also, no matter what turn you take, do it very slowly. And when you get on the highway onramp, just give maybe half throttle (had a close call when downshifting into 4th and applying 2/3 throttle, got a little sideways at 50+ mph)

AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!
DRIFT THE BITCH!!!!!!!
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SLOWER CARS FOR EASY WINS!!!!!!!
I have a manual in2 ofthe 4stangs and all I do is ride the clutch like an old lady. The best one is the one with my Firestone Indy 500's. Rated H they wont be going fast for long but in the snow they are quite nice!
I actually have fun while driving in the snow, if you keep a sound mind you will be fine, and dont over extend that right foot, who the hell cares if the person behind you has a freakin H2 and wants to get by, its not his life your driving in that stang.

I have a lot of fun in the snow. I have to get through it to get to empty parking lots. I try not to stop, ever. I run 4 way stops (at low speed), and slow down way to 10-15 mph way before a red light, so that I can hopefully coast through the intersection without stopping. If I have to stop, I try to keep it just above idle speed until I get to 15-20 mph. It feels SLOW, but it gets you around.
Today I went to an empty section of parking lot at a shopping center and started doing 360s and going down the strip sideways. I also went and tried the mall parking lot and had a close call. I couldn't see a concrete curb dividing two rows of parking, because the entire lot was under 2-3 inches of snow. I took off cutting across the lot, and noticed a rise in the snow when I was about 10 feet away from it. I braced for impact and expected to be replacing two wheels, but I hit it head on and my whole car rode over the curb at about 20-30 mph. I drove away and my wheels turned out to be fine.
Built Ford tough, I guess.
