RE: Quick question about GAS
ORIGINAL: Jakes
Refinerys add compounds to increase the octane rating. This slows down the burn rate of the gas. This is done to reduce the chance of spark knock or detonation in high compression motors or those that have the timing bumped up. To maximize HP you should run the lowest octane fuel you can (highest burn rate) without getting spark knock or detonation.

The only one that ford recommends higher octane (91) in is the 4.6 DOHC 32 valve 10:1 compression.

UNLESS your timing is set anything above 10 degrees advanced! Then you also have to use 92+.

DUH!!! Thats an easy one!!! 6 cylinders... 1 spark plug per cyl=6 spark plugs. Diesels run great on the Platnum plugs. I installed some on my 1990 F350 and let me tell you! Felt like I installed a turbo!!!
