It should fit right in since all the modular motors have the same motor mounts and all that. After you swap out the ecu/wiring I don't see why it wouldn't work. You'll probably need the accessories such as the alternator and all that good ****. They use the same tranny so that should work too.

The motor is a take out it has everything but the tranny .it comes with the starter to the alternator. it would be nice to put it in 300hp compared to 260hp is a nice improvement. Oh and what clutchdose it use a 11 or a 10.5 like my 00 motor thanks

I'm most positive they used the 3650 same as the cobras, but not too sure. I was reading an article on that and they are basically the same blocks just modified as far as the oil passages and coolant passages. They have more HP because they claim the passages free up 20hp, and ofcourse the cams and heads conribute. The pi heads will actually bolt right up to the 3v however the coolant passages are completely diff. You should be fine as long as you have the computer and harness! They have the same bolt holes on the flywheel as the 99-04's, so you could swap out flywheels if you had any sizing problems.

I know someone on here did it. He had a bit of work to do and I know he had clearance issues. You have to think about other things too like the fact that their intake is on the opposite side so you are gonna need to cut a hole for it (I assume it wont fit to just flip it back to the side you already have). Try searching for it and you can probably find it.

Edit: Here's a link: http://www.mustangboards.com/picture...ve-here-i.html Oh, and I guess I was wrong, he did swap the intake back to the other side. I just figured they wouldn't swap it after 10 years unless it didn't fit because of something over there.

one thing to think about is your 2000gt has the t45 tranny and like stated above the 3v cars came with a tr3650. im sure there is a easy adaptor or fix for this somewhere, but you could also probably find a 3650 for cheap, or slap in a tko or t56.
