Default HELP: odd noise from exhaust

so just over a week ago i had my slp lm1 and o/r prochamber installed, abd when i first got it there was an unusual amount of smoke/fumes/exhaust coming out of the tips and it was noticeable but at the same time i couldnt decifer anything was wrong because everythign sounded fine and it was cold outside so i figured it was just cuz the gases coming out of the car were warm and meeting the cold outisde air (if you get what im saying). well now i hear this almost popping/crackling noise and i can tell its not supposed to sound like that.. almost as if it was like a pinging noise in a big tin can or something along those lines. everybody complains about drone but i dont know what the drone sounds like so i dunno if its the drone or if its an exhaust leak or something else. anybody have any helpful hints or suggestions??? i appreciate all replies.

When does it crackel and pop. If it does it during deceleration (engine braking) then it is normal. All new exhaust parts smoke for a bit.

see i was hoping that it was just normal for new parts or whatever but im worried that if i dont take it back to the mechanic now then he;ll give me reasons other than his manual labor as to why the pipes are making the noise. but the "odd noise" is most prominent when i floor it and id say over 4000 or 4500 rpms..im not totally sure but its above 3k rpms for sure. the pipes dont really smoke anymore so im not worried about that. but my neighbor says my car is misfiring but i definately dont hear it so i really doubt he knows what hes talking about. im more worried about a leak or a crappy install.

if it's a crackling noise, it might just be a loose bolt, i just installed a cold air intake, and there was a really squeaky noise coming from my engine, and it was a bolt, so just try getting under the car and spray the bolts with wd40. the coldness will make bolts squeak

i put my o/r x on about a month ago i had the same type of noise you are describing. i tightened the exhaust down and was able to make it go awayfor the most partit still has the noise but i think its just the way its supposed to be.
