Which gear do you prefer?
I've noticed a lot of talk about gears lately and i think it'd be cool to take a vote to see which gears people prefer the most and why. I think 3:55 exist on a stock 03-04' cobra, correct me if i'm wrong tho.

lol this is a good poll, it has a lot of contraversy, me personally i like 4:10's. i've never driven them but from what everyones said and the kind of driving i'd be doing i'd go with 4:10's.

Like everyone else, I cant decide between 3.73's and 4.10's, Im afraid im going to get 3.73's and then not be satisfied. Im replacing my tranny sooner or later with a tremec. Its mainly a street car, not much highway driving. I know 4.10's isnt good for the street, but they are just so bad ***, I dont know if the 3.73's are going to give me the differance I want to feel. Im pretty sure I have 3.08's in my car now, maybe 3.27's..

lol nah, 3.73's are for street, its even hard to drive 3.73's on the highway, highway gears are like 3.55's and stuff, i have 3.08 which are retarded gears, made for being dumb. If you plan to break the sound barrier, get 3.08's.

gears apply differently to different year / engine mustangs. For example 3.55's in a 5.0 are the equivalent (rpm / speed wise) to 4.10's in a 2002+ GT ... Throughout the years tire sizes, tranny gear ratio's, max engine rpm, etc. have changed. I pick my gears to get me as close to redline in 4th gear at the end of the track as possible, someone else may prefer something different. Don't look at 4.10's the same way on a newer mustang as you do a 5.0
