ABS Sensors when doing gears?

ABS Sensors when doing gears?
I was talking to the tuning place that is going to install my 4.10's. The guy was saying that if I have ABS, I probably have to replace my ABS sensors because they always break when being removed. So I have a few questions...
Does this sound right? I have never heard of this before.
How do I tell if I have ABS? I don't have traction control and I wasn't sure if they were a package thing.
Thanks for any help. I want to save the $150+/- that he quoted me for replacing the sensors.

sray some WD-40 on there. They have one bolt on the back and you have to work it back and forth to get it out. I have had mine out twice already with no problems! Also, spray some WD-40 on the ABS gear itself that runs on the axle as that will have to be pried outward towards the wheel in order to get those C-clips out.One side then the other, be gentle because they are priceya nd a bitch to fully removed since they are pressed on. I would bring it to someone that has done fords, because fords are difff. than GM and chrysler! To make sure you have ABS, look under the hood and in front of the A/C pump on the lower pass side of the engine. The ABS box should be right there and say abs right on it!

We all have abs. If done right and spray some wd-40 on them they come right out you just have to be gentle. I wouldn't trust that guy.....

You do need to loosen them, take the retaining bolt out, like was said spray with wd-40.....I gently tapped them inward with the axle...its plastic,,so it can break,,,,and then remove the c-clip on the axle...thats really the only reason you needto move them abit, is so the axle will go in far enough to remove the c-clip.......But yes they can break and its fairly common....do yourself a favor and start soaking before you start.....
