Default Gears with T-45

Hey Guys, well I have been reading up on gears... I have a T-45 in my car and have read that i will be almost 300 rpms over any 3650 tranny with the equivalent gears.. Now the question is, I make the occasional commute from school to home which is about 2 hours of straight highway...Will 4.10s be a killer on my car with my T-45??? or should I opt more for the 3.73s?? Anybody with a T-45 have this dilemma and what did you do??? Thanks for the input...

P.S ..I do not want to regret my decision....

I have a T-45 and I am getting 4.10's. If it is only an occasional thing, just get them. I could see if you traveled an hour to work and then an hour back, but this is only an occasional trip.

i have 3:90s on my 3650 and i luv em. now i know the t-45 is different but not by a whole lot. i say go 3:90 because you get that 4:10 pull without sacrificing a buttload of rpms on the interstate

I have 4.10's with my T-45, its really not too bad. I love the acceleration, on the highway I'm right at 2400-2500 rpm at 70 mph. Still get 25 mpg highway, CITY SUCKS THOUGH thats all i can say. Gotta love them though.

i do the same thing (travel home every weekend from college), and while it hurts a little more gas wise than it used to, its well worth the performance gain

As long as you dont drive 85 to 90 the whole way,,you'll be fine....I've taken a couple of trip to lexington and its 100 miles each way...but I drive 70with the cruise control on....except when challenged...

I'm going with the 3:73's so I get comfort on the highway and so I don't have to shift into second gear before i cross the intersection. I have heard 4:10's make 1st gear absolutely useless. You have to shift after 15feet. 3:73's for the highway. I was gonna go with 3:90's also, but I want FORD gears. They don't make 3:90's
