i thought about it, but i dont know if they make a high temp clear coat, at least i didnt see any. The self paint is suprisingly glossy, especially on the front where its the flatest. Just as long as you wipe the caliper off when u wash the car it stays pretty clean lookin.

Well, you may have sold me on the idea lol. I usually lay out like a whole day to do something simple like this (even though it doesn't take nearly that long)because I hate rushing things. Thanks.

slotted and drilled rotors on a street car are a bit overkill, if you like having to replace your brake pads more often then go and get some powerslot ones. Send your calipers to jet hot coat for powdercoating, those guys are awesome

Yea i took a whole afternoon, was very liberal with the paint and put 3-4 coats on. Ive gotten quite a few compliments about it and couldnt be happier. That being said I wonder how much it is to powdercoat cuz i bet that would look pretty sharp.

Ya see, the calipers are obviously not on the car yet, so I'm looking for a quality paint on them, not just the little Autozone kit that burns off after 3k miles. I just don't know where I should get them powdercoated.
If you use the proper paint (Caliper paint or hightemp engine paint) and prep the calipers really well you should have no problem.
I used a heat gun to bake on and cure the paint and it turned out really good.
I did mine in black and put the mustang logo on it.

One more question... does anybody know if I should pass on the stock pads and get something better, or if something works better with drilled/slotted? Thanks.
