My understanding of pinging is the a/f in the cylinder burns before it supposed to, so you get a knock in the engine.

and after you tune it to 91 or 93, stick with that fuel.

go to steeda.com, the instructions are right there on the site. You'll know when it pings cuz it'll sound like when ur in a old crappy car with bad gas goin up a hill. Its not too big of a deal when ur installing this since its just momentary, just make sure you dont make a habit of detonating your engine.

oh ok i see and when u say tune it for 91 93 octane is that after i get a hand held tuner or something like that or start running 91 or so octane oncei put this on

Put premium in it, be it 91 or 93, use the timing adjuster and never use the crappier grades again.
