Default 99 intake vs 02 intake

I just changed my crappy all plastic intake out in place of the new style. Other than the ft runner is there any difference? The car feels alot better and feels like its more responsive. Mybe my old one just crapped out slowly and i didnt notice it. I didnt even have a crack in it it was leaking out of a seem. Thanks for your input.

Mine was leaking coolant and i needed a new one. The lod ones were known for the front runner cracking.

Hell no i tossed that tube right after i got the car from the dealer to the speed shop lol. I just need a new tb and elbow. The manifold sucked cause i pulled it off and couldnt find a crack so i just changed the gaskets. 2 min after i started it up it started leaking again[:@]. Iam good now Its got a new MANIFOLD installed and i changed the plugs cause i got alot of coolant on em.

I dont know about the MPG cause this is the first time ive had it out in a week. We just got a foot of snow so shes been in the garage for a few days. I can say on the way to fill it up it ran so smooth. Now i can get it a new tb and elbow for her. Iam also looking at cams.
