blower cams or should i wait

RE: blower cams or should i wait
It depends on what you want to do with the car.
I am running stage 2 n/a cams on my blower setup, and it is working perfectly. However, if you plan on building the shortblock the overlap on the cams will not work well, and you will have to switch them out.
Put it this way. On the stock shortblock you can make more power with n/a cams than the stockers.AKA you can make more power with less boost and a more conservative tune.

wait... really IMO there is no NEED for cams on the stock motor power wise, the intercooler would be a better investment.. however the cams make a nice sound and will allow you to run a little less boost and hit the same numbers... that being said Ive seen built motor stock cam cars hit 500-600rwhp so they are not necessary, but still nice

If you are sure about going FI, then put in some custom blower cams and be done with it. You'll save money on the cams and labor, and it will not hurt your engine one bit.

The other thing about cams is the change the powerband so much. You really pull hard all the way to redline, and with a forged shortblock and 7500+ RPM potential it makes a massive difference in the powerband.

+1 on ur spring edition stang, and another +1 on ur job. I used to work at a Lamborghini/Aston Martin/Bently/Rolls-Royce dealership. I drove Bam Margera's gallardo when he brought it in for a new clutch .
