thinking of supercharging

RE: thinking of supercharging
Every tuner I have talked to in regards to canned tunes on a freshly FI'd car should be tweaked to get the max safe HP out of a car with all the mods on that particular car or, have a completely new "custom" dyno tune done. This advice is coming from affiliates of MPH, RWTD, Performance Fuel Systems, and several localdie hard mod motor enthusiasts and tuners. The tunes I have on my SCT that were sent with my s/c kit are so rich that I could have held a lighter to my tailpipes and blew my car up. I'm talking high 10's :1 a/f ratio. Also my fuel curve looked like a heart monitor line of someone who just got done with a marathon (although not leaning out dangerously). But being super rich like that is not a good idea either. I was afraid I was going to wash oil off my pistons. So if the canned tunes perform better than the custom dyno tunes I guess I'm screwed.
