thinking of supercharging
with my current mods what would be a good choice in superchargers? do i need to do any other modifications to safely run a supercharger? i plan on keeping it as a daily driver, and im shooting for around 350-400rwhp.

RE: thinking of supercharging
also whats labor cost for installing the supercharger?
|
RE: thinking of supercharging
they arnt hard to do, i did the Kenne Bell myself, centrifugals such as vortech and prochargerare easier to install....you can do it yourself in your garage if you have a little know how...save the money;)

RE: thinking of supercharging
i paid $800 for the install tune of my vortech. it was a lot of money and i wish i could have installed it myself. unfortunately im not very mechanically knowledgeable and i live in an apt complex with nowhere to really do the work.
if you can do it yourself though...youd prolly save 5 or 6 hundred. |
RE: thinking of supercharging
So do you guys run stock internals w/ your superchargers? What type of boost #'s? I might want to go this route when I put in a PI motor. Need to start making a plan....

RE: thinking of supercharging
12 psi MAX. i'd stick to around 10. with you having 4.10's i wouldnt' go with a roots type blower. stick with a centrifugal type like vortech or procharger.
