well.. maybe not a turbo kit itself because i know they are in the 5-6k range.. but if i was to part it together.. how much would it cost? like whats all the parts i would need? and what would i do about the headers the car would need?

im just toying with the idea of.... once i max out this blower and want more power (which its only a vortech S trim... ).. i may sell my kit and get a turbo kit for around the same price if i shop around... depending on how much stuff i have to customize to make it work on the car.

yea, i know a T trim would do it but it costs 1k to upgrade so that would mean i would have close to 5k into my supercharger setup by then... im wondering if i sold my kit for around 3k and if i could part together a turbo kit for less than that... im still debating on it though..

Is gonna cost much more than that plus the headaches. I've been reading on turbos and its alot of work, installation wise and tuning wise plus the cost for a system are in the high 5000.00 plus 1000.00 here and there, my opinion is just upgrade the supercharger.

It's possible... you'll be pretty close to that limit. If you've already got injectors, spark plugs, MAF, etc... all of those "extra costs" then I think you can squeeze a turbo kit in for about 3k... you'll need to do some custom fabrication. If you pay anyone else to do any of the work it'll quickly become muchmore expensive. Turbos can be found for what, 400 each? intercooler = 1k ... piping won't be too horribly expensive, a few hundred... Custom turbo headers will be tough (you can flip the stock manifolds upside down and switch sides is rumor)... but outside of that it's very possible.

As much as your willing to spend or at least as much as a proper kenne bell.... If a S/C is done the way it's should be done then then a turbo would cost about the same. Turbo's are better but I want more fun down low so S/c is the way for me until Im a rich playboy doctor and can afford anything.....
