Default HELP WITH INTAKE MANIFOLD ASAP PLZ!!!

hey guys im in the process of replacing my all-plastic intake manifold with the new one w/aluminum crossover. I ran into a probleam with the gaskets. The new intake came with those rubber gaskets molded into it (the old plastic one didnt have them), however, there is another big gasket between the manifold and the heads which has a rubber gasket for the old manifold. Now the rubber gastet on the big plastic one is on top and bottom of it, so im not sure as whether to remove all of the rubber material from it or what. Any input is appreciated

Dave

No clue, when I changed my intake manifold it came with seperate gaskets like stock, but they sucked, and I blew'em out, so I just repalced my gaskets with original ford gaskets...

Take it off, the rubber seals on the new manifold is all that is needed. I did mine like that it's been over a year and no problems.

Is the gasket that is between the one on the new intake and the heads an old gasket, or is it new? If it is old, I would say take it out, and just use the one that is with the new intake. When I replaced mine, it didn't have one molded to it, so I just used a replacement gasket.

If your talking about the dorman style intakes,,uses (orange)o-rings only around the intake ports and has its own gasket for the crossover....factory uses the long black plastic gaskets...use the o-rings only....if this is what you have....
