MD I have same gears as you but I havent gotten my re-cal done. I know the speedo is off but is the tach off too? Right now I'm shifting into 2nd at about 10
The Tach shouldnt be off at all because of a gear change. You are shifting into second at 10 what? MPH or RPM's? LOL
A WS6 WOULD DUST A STOCK STANG HANDS DOWN. UNLESS YOU HAVE A TOTAL STROKE BEHIND THE WHEEL OF THE WS6. A COUPLE POSSIBLE REASONS WHY THE LS1 (WHICH STANDS FOR LIGHT SPEED 1) IS BECAUSE, AS THIS FORUM HAS BEEN DISCUSSING ALL NIGHT LONG IS, WE ALL WANT 4:10 GEARS. THAT IS TOP SPEEDS ENEMY. ALSO, THE OTHER POSSIBILITY IS BECAUSE, THE LS1 MAKES SO MUCH MORE HP STOCK THAN A GT. AS WE ALL KNOW MORE HP EQUATES TO HIGHER MPH, OFCOURSE DEPENDING UPON YOUR DRIVETRAIN SETUP.
Sounds like the Mustang guys take it to redline and this LS1 guy took it as far as his car would go... anyone taken a Mustang to 8000 (or higher) RPMs in 1st?
