I know that im getting ahead of myself (the KB is just on the car and wont even be on the road for a tune until april) but by the end of summer i plan on doing a forged VT shortblock because i saved so much money on the blower. With my 1.7 intercooled Kenne Bell what is the limit as to the Hp and Tq i can produce? Also, how would you guys reccomend i build up the shortblock? I want it to be fairly streetable

Well I'd guess and say the supercharger can run I think max 14psi of boost which should be good to about 500ish rwhp. It all really depends on the tune and supporting mods. Also, on the stock short block, 400rwhp is around the safe limit people like to go by.

Once again, its ALL in the tune. I've seen people run 420rwhp on a stock short block and never have problems yet I've also seen people throw a rod with 380rwhp. The tune is wear its at trust me.

fun street car, i have a jeep for dd duty......drivetrain is a stock auto tranny and my rear end is stock save for 4.10's im aware the tranny and rear end need to be beefed up

I would just get a tranny cooler and leave it at that. Unless you plan on running a slick or anything more sticky than a nitto drag raidal you have a pretty good saftey built in (tires spinning).

right now i have MT's......what about welding up the rear and some heavier axels? I dont like when stuff goes boom......plus after the shortblock heads cams etc and 14psi i HOPE to be in at least the 550RWHP range...i HATE when stuff goes boom

so what should i be putting on my shortblock, in the way of Heads and Cams? I believe the shortblock itself comes with diamond pistons and oliver rods with a forged crank

you should just upgrade after you blow the stock equipment.

for heads, i'd say Patriot Performance's Stage III heads. they're anywhere between $1500 and $1700. they're the best head that I know of for the 4.6L.
