I launched at 1500 cause I was scared of braking **** my frist time out.. My car would shimmy when I shifted and fell like it was glidding. I didn't have any firm shifts
!!!! That sounds alot like me.. when you go back, you'll be amzed at what a small improvement on your 60' paired with hard shifts will do for your ET in the exact same car.. lol

dam im cutting 2.1's on street tires, u must be spinning. lol just keep on practicing and im sure you will get much better.

I've cut tons of 1.9's on street tires before the blower, I just need practice

What kind of times are you guys running?
Here is one of my timeslips... This run was made with 285 mastercrafts, 3.27s, full exhaust, cold air intake, and me never letting off the gas while tryin to break the shifter off hopefully I can get it a little lower with 4.10s, tires, and tune... and hopefully in the 12s with spray..

I'd say if you ran the entire 1/4 you'd be more happy with your times because it would let your hp shine..

Yeah cause I can feel the power on the streets then I get to the track and poop.With a 98 mph trap that should be in the 13's right?

Anyone who has experience with BFG Drags would KNOW = YOU DO NOT HEAT THEM.

You spin them quick to clean & they are ready to go. The more you put heat in them, the greasier they get.

Even with drags you cannot just dump the cluch, it still takes feathering.

What was your trap speeds? 8.50 is indeed horrid. I've gotten mine down to 8.60's on street tires, and people RAG on me hard. I'm planning on 7's with just tires.

I think the air was just right that night or somethin, it had been hot all day and then got cool real fast... I went back with 4.10s and nittos and actually ran a 13.8. I was madder en hell.[:@]

I had like 25 lbs in the nittos and they didn't hook.. They wasn't mine so I really didn't mess with them or heat them up much.
