you can either get the forged (billet would be useless) Gt sportsman block or the stroker version (depends on what you want your braggin rights to be)but the h-beam rods and pistons should do fine, make sure they're using a forged crank. The rods are steel and you shouldn't have to worry to much bout fatigue for it being fun. i'm not keen on gt parts, but shortblock wise your set, just double check on the crank

I would talk to Mitch (Code) about this one, he has the VT 302 shortblock, and he seems very knowledgable about VT. You could also give VT a call, I have heard that they are some of the best guys on the earth[8D]

I am building a forged shortblock right now that is 1000+ hp capable for $2200. The forged stroker that I have right now I built for $2500. All I did was order the parts and had a shop in town do the work so anybody can do it. Just food for thought.

If you really want to buy an already built shortblock try these guys. They are who I get my internals from. If you call to order you can get a better deal on shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-A...temZ8067233669

This is what I have going into my new shortblock http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...708&rd=1,1

This is what I have right now in my car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-6-F...mZ230094020925
