Default how reliable is the 4.6

are the 4.6 GTs reliable or do they have alot of problems?

They are very reliable in NA form. I had a 98 gt with 190,000 miles and only changed the alternator and plastic intake.

Same here, it's getting replaced this week now that temps are going up, along with the heads getting pulled and reconditioned.

Yes, the 4.6 is a good motor. I know a few people that have had their mustangs for a long time and no problems yet. It seem that if you don't screw with the engine too much, it will last you a long time. It is when you start running 150 shots of Nitrus into them they start getting tempermental.

4.6 = VERY reliable.

taxi cabs have the same motor, I've seen them up to 350000 miles with no problem.
