Default convert. springs on a coupe?

i was looking into some h&r springs and i was wondering if it would be ok to put the convertable springs on a coupe.the reason i am asking is because the convert. springs have a lower drop...2" compared to like 1.75 for the regular springs. would they be about the same because i know that converts are heavier that coupes. i would appreciate it if someone could set me straight on this. thanks.

I'm not an expert but I think vert springs are softer than coupes. Verts are only 150 lbs heavier. Contrary to what everyonethinks its not a very big diferrence in weight.

It's true verts only weigh about 150lbs more,, I'm surprised there is such a thing as a "vert spring"(?) Are they listed with a differnet part number, or are you just calling them vert springs because you pulled them off a vert?

there are separate listings for hardtop and vert springs on many different sites. they are the same price but the vert springs listing says they will lower the car about 2" whereas the hardtop listing says 1.75. i was confused about it myself.

Have you tried calling H&R or emailing their tech support?
