i had the same thing happening to me a couple weeks ago. about 4 days after my intake swap, it would start, rpms cruise up to 2k or so, then die, even as im pumping the gas. I crank it again, and it just turns over, no fire. turn key off, try again, starts up, dies, so on so on. I put a new iac valve on, didnt work. havent done anything else since the iac valve, just tried it again and its been running since. so, start with iac and go from there

You may be able to get away by cleaning it with carb spray.
