Default 2001 S281

I have been looking at a 2001 S281 SC saleen yellow. It's a nice clean car it only have 21K miles one owner clean carfax. And I am thinking about getting rid of the ol' 99. I love my 99 but after thinking about the amount of money and work I would put into it my and my s/o think it might be better to just go with the s281. The stealership wants 19K. For my car to be where I want it I want f/i, some wheels, and some body work. If I did it myself I would be looking at a $3600.00 engine, $4000.00 f/i kit, $1200 in wheels & tires, and $4000 in body work. Which is all togeter about $13K on a $6000 car, with 112k miles. It seems to be even in price my car would have more power but also more miles. What would you guys do?

Less miles on the motor, the new block that is. I'd say stick with what you have if you like the style (sn95).

Couple more grand & some patience and you could get yourself into a Cobra, which is a better car IMO.

I say go for it if you like it. Even if you switch the engine on yours, the engine might have 0 miles, but the car still has 112k.Also, the resale will be much better for the saleen since it is newer with less miles and its a saleen over a GT.
