i was wondering if a SCT chip can be re-usedon a differnt year mustang then it was originally programmed for? Can you take it to a shop(has SCT hardware) and have them reprogram it for yourmustangand get your car tuned with it?

Yes, I had one before I went with the SCT Xcal IIand the shop took it in trade

so if i got one off ebay for a differnt year mustang i could get it re-tuned for my car while getting my car tuned? i am wondering because if i get new heads with a bigcam i will need my car to be tuned (thats what the cam people recomend) for best performance. thanks lizzyfan, it's always you that answers my questions-your a real help.

Yeah you can get a tuning shop to recalibrate it for your PCM code. Just make sure that it is a chip for 4.6 GT/Mach 1 cars.
