Default Piston to Valve Clearance???

i have decided since i am going to do a pi swap i am going to get it ported at the same time. the best offer i found was Patriot perfromance Stage II Ported heads with their billet cam. the cam is an agressive idle with233/237 @ .050 duration. patriot told me that i might have problems with piston to valve clearnce for this cam. i really want to use it but if it cant be fixed by a simple procedure then i will have to get a stock pi cam off ebay till i save up and buy my new forged block from MMR with special notched pistons. can someone tell me if i can just have a shop notch the piston or something like that without having to pull the motar. i really dont want to pull the motar so any other suggestions would really help. thanks

you have to take the motor to a shop and have them fly cut

i would reccomend waiting to get this done... why have the stock pistons notched? it will cost close to 200 to have it done and maybe more.. thats if you assemble/disassemble your motor...

Actually if you degree them properly you may not have to do anything. The best thing to do is degree your cams and check ptv.....then if it doesnt clear you may have to fly cut your pistons......also I have rarely seen degreed cams not clear unless they are some custom grinds with hellashush numbers.....
