hi every 1 was wondering if 2000 -2004 mustang gt's are the same car basically,do they have same interior trim and exterior trim or was there a year where something changed between 2000-2004?what year of gt was better between 2000-2004.thanks yah im a new member with dumb ?'s lol

Generally it goes 94-95, 96-98, 99-01, 02 03-04.

Thats in terms of engine options and mechanical features. For the GT it was 02-04 but the V6 went to a 3.9L in 03-04 but wasnt really a change.

Interior speaking, 94-98, 99-04.... Simple.
Its all made to about the same quality too, I havnt seen any big diffs.

And if you really want to get generic, the general design of the car hasnt changed since 1979 when the Fox was introduced. Thats why you can swap 2004 interior into a Fox with only minor modifications or suspension peices that bolt right in.

I have a 95' Mustang that I am turning into a Mach1 clone and I have all the interior peices for it and all fit with no modding needed even the dash.

The dash in Mustangs have been basically the same since '94. In '98, they got rid of the center mounted clock on the top of the dash and in place of the ashtray, they put 2 cup holders. In '99, the odometer went to digital and the black they used was now a duller black, almost a dark grey. I believe that in '01 they switched the position of the fog light switch to behind the shifter handle. In late '01, Ford switched the crap T45 with a T3650... And outside: In '01 Ford gave the Mustangs blacked out headlights and a hood scoop. There were some colors only available in certain years, as well... So, I'd say look for a late '01-'04 GT just for the better trans, better looking headlights, and hood scoop.

99-00 are windsor motors with 8 bolt cranks and the 01-04 are romeos with 6 bolt cranks.
